I used to like Shamrock, but after I saw how he totally failed his team in training them on Ultimate Fighter, I lost all interest in that Hack. I'll say this for Tito, for all those years that I thought he was a show boating big mouthed prick... The respect and gratitude of his team on TUF3 sure changed my opinion of him. After reading the comments following Ortiz-Shamrock 2 I just gotta voice my 2 cents. Yes the fight was anti-climatic. It probably marked the end of Ken Shamrock's storied career. Like him or hate him, Ken Shamrock "the world's most dangerous man" did as much to shape the UFC as any fighter. Yea, he wasn't the best coach in UF3 but we can't all be good at everything. He plays a mean game of pool.

I believe his time in the octagon has passed but we must give honor where honor is due. In his prime he was a tremendous fighter, and explosive personality. People who don't even watch the UFC know who Ken Shamrock is. Like him or hate him, Shamrock has been good for the notoriety and growing popularity of MMA. I agree it's time for Ken to hang up the gloves but we all, Tito included, gotta give the man his "props" and the respect.

Ken Shamrock deserves the respect that he has earned fighting in the UFC. He may be older than some of the new fighters but he still has got it.
