Jessica Simpson must be extremely happy about the engagement ring she just got, judging by the whopping $300 tip she left this week at a swanky NY restaurant.

Simpson was with her mother and several friends and staff at the restaurant Lavo, and after getting her $500 bill, left an extremely generous $300 tip, along with a very kind note for the waitress. Jessica recently became engaged to be married, and is obviosuly on top of the world and looking to share that joy with the world. And the little bit of publicity that comes with this random act of kindness can't hurt either!

Jessica Simpson is a generous tipper. The singer, actress and reality TV star recently left an extra 60 per cent on a $500 restaurant bill after dining with her mother, assistant and two other friends at New York Italian restaurant Lavo. As well as leaving a $300 tip for the $500 bill, she also left a positive message to her waitress, telling her "you were amazing and make this world a better place, Love Jess."
