Jessica Simpson is head over heels for a new beau, after he made her "pause" by proposing marriage this month.

Meeting her new boyfriend and then having him propose "made me pause it, I was like, 'It's a really good part in Parenthood...it's an emotional fight right now.' It was definitely one of those moments where I've never felt that way before, ever. I can't believe all the Simpsons kept a secret."

Her boyfriend went to the jeweler and picked out a lovely engagement ring to present to her, and gave her a tremendous surprise. Now they will get wedding planners on the case and set up an event to remember!

One internet commenter doubted if it could work, saying "I know that short term courtships work but Jessica Simpson does not have the best history when it comes to men. Seems to me she should slow it down and really look at the guy she is engaged to who by the way doesn't seem like a great guy. Who gets divorced and then the next month proposes to someone else?" But I'm wishing them all the best, and hoping the prenup will never go into effect.
