One of the hottest couples in Hollywood, Katy Perry and Russell Brand, went to India this weekend and got married in a surprise wedding!

The wedding was done in a small private setting by a local Christian minister, but is rumored to have had some Hindu themes to it as well. They were joined by friends and family. Russell Brand was the star of Get Him to The Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Katy Perry is a beloved pop star everywhere except on Sesame Street. See more about their wedding here:

The pair, who became engaged in December 2009 when vacationing in India, wed in a "private and spiritual ceremony" which was "performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family," according to a statement released by a rep for the couple. The statement also said the couple was "overjoyed to confirm that they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand" and that their "closest family and friends" were in attendance. The couple transported their entire wedding party and guests to a luxury resort in the countryside of northern India.
