Brad Pitt is always news whenever he takes a new role, and this latest acting job will be no exception, as he is signing on to play the infamous rock pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis!

It won't be the first movie depiction of the wild living rocker, but with Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman in the leads, it's sure to get lots of buzz going. It remains to be seen whether today's public will be sympathetic to Lewis marrying his young cousin , that will reportedly be played by Portman.

Here's your weekly biopic news: Brad Pitt is reportedly in talks to replicate Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire in a in-the-works biopic directed by the great Terrence Malick. Lewis already had one biopic made about him--1989's Great Balls of Fire--but that was 21 years ago before the biopic boom happened. And Malick and Pitt's reading of Lewis' life might be less madcap than the Dennis Quaid version. Natalie Portman is also said to be attached to play the cousin Lewis married in the 1950s
