Dead Sea Scrolls Mystery Solved? (VIDEO)

Has the mystery of the Dead Sea Scrolls now been solved? In some detective work worthy of a Da Vinci code sequel, the study of an ancient cup, tunnels in Jerusalem and other arcane hunting has brought new clues into the meaning of one of histories most mysterious documents.

It is now believed that the scrolls may have been used by a group of "rebel priests", at some point early AD or maybe even BC. Said one of the experts studying it, "Gone is the Ark of the Covenant. We're never going to find Noah's Ark, the Holy Grail. These things, we're never going to see. But we just may very well have documents from the Temple in Jerusalem. It would be the great treasure from the Jerusalem Temple."

The recent decoding of a cryptic cup, the excavation of ancient Jerusalem tunnels, and other archaeological detective work may help solve one of the great biblical mysteries: Who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls? The new clues hint that the scrolls, which include some of the oldest known biblical documents, may have been the textual treasures of several groups, hidden away during wartime--and may even be "the great treasure from the Jerusalem Temple," which held the Ark of the Covenant, according to the Bible.
