Michelle Obama, Paul McCartney Love

Paul McCartney had a special moment in Washington D.C. this week, as he serenaded Michelle Obama at his White House appearance, where the Beatles and Wings musical legend was being honored by the Obama administration.

McCartney was receiving the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, which is awarded by the Library of Congress. Paul performed at the event, and of course sang the Beatles song "Michelle" to the First Lady, joking that he might get punched by the President.

Paul McCartney is one of the most successful singers and songwriters in music history, form his work in the Beatles as well as his later output. Few have ever done songs that were covered by so many artists.

Sir Paul McCartney serenaded Barack Obama's wife with the song Michelle at a White House gig. The Beatles legend sang the lyrics as he performed during an awards ceremony. Both Michelle and her husband could be seen singing along to the lyrics of the love song at the concert in the East Room on Wednesday night. And after crooning the words, 'I love you, I love you, I love you,' McCartney joked that he might become the 'first guy ever to be punched out by a president'.
