Kevin Costner Dream Machine (VIDEO)

Will the Kevin Costner "dream machine" be the answer to the BP oil spill disaster? That's what
Costner and many others are hoping, as Costner arranges to sell 32 of his machines to BP so that they can aid in the cleanup of the spill.

Said Costner, "There is not a word big enough or ugly enough to describe what's going on out there. We have to find a way to get a grip on it." He also stressed that he does not promise his machines can single-handedly resolve the ecological crisis, they can only play a role in helping, and the process will require contributions from many others, over a long period of time. ""I didn't come to save the day, I came to participate. When you are in a fight, everyone knows you go to confront it right where it is. You don't wait for it to come to your door,"

Hollywood star Kevin Costner announced plans on Friday to begin using a "dream" machine that would aid in the Gulf Coast clean-up by separating up to 200,000 gallons of oily water each day. At a press conference in Port Fourchon, La., Friday, BP Chief Operating Officer Doug Suttles said that BP purchased 32 of these centrifuges from the Hollywood star's company, Ocean Therapy Solutions. Costner said that he has been working with scientists on the development of this machine to aid in the clean up of oil spills for the last 17 years. He testified in front of Congress last week, stressing the need of such a machine and a solution to the risks posed by deep-water drilling.
