One of the original stars of The Bachelor, Jen Schefft, is now about to be a mother for the first time, according to the exclusive scoop she gave to US magazine this week.

Schefft was one of the original contestants on the Bachelor who went on to star in her own season of The Bachelorette, but is no longer a bachelorette as she married Wall Street stock trader Joe Waterman last may. She told the magazine she is due to give birth to a hopefully happy and healthy baby in November.

Jen says she surprised her husband by revealing her news in a creative way: "I put the tests in a Ziploc bag and rushed to the train station to pick him up after work. I handed him the baggie, and he gave me a high-five! He hugged me too, of course, but we were so taken off guard."

"I dont know why, but I feel like it's going to be a girl," Jen says, but I'm sure it'll be the start of a happy family either way! Best of luck to the new parents.
