Bowersox and Boyfriend Split (VIDEO)

Just a day after her heartbreaking second place finish on American Idol, Crystal Bowersox revealed that she split with her boyfriend, on the night of her final performance! See the video below for her story.

Bowersox told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show: "He's a small town guy and it's fine. But I'm a small town girl, but I want this. I want this more than anything -- this career, this lifestyle. I didn't think he was up for it. He didn't think he was up for it."

Bowersox, who comes from a small town and very humble beginnings, said she is ready for everything that comes with fame, but her man just wasn't ready for it all. And apparently he just had to decide that a few hours before te most important performance of her life. Which she nailed by the way.

Kara Dioguardi, who was also on the radio show with her, told Crystal "You have to do your music. It's not a choice for you. It's what makes you whole. If somebody can't hang with that -- I'm sure he's a lovely guy but right now this is your dream."

Crystal Bowersox and her boyfriend Tony Kusian, 26, broke up just hours before her final night performance. "He went home. He wasn't cool with the lifestyle," Crystal revealed this morning on Ryan Seacrest's 102.7 KIIS-FM radio show...Kusian had told People.com in an interview during Crystal's hometown visit that he wasn't really into the whole fame thing. "I don't need the attention," he said.
