Oprah, John Tesh Dated?

Oprah Winfrey has always courted lots of speculation about her romantic life, with her longtime yet still somewhat mysterious relationship with Stedman. But now the news has come out of an old fling she had with noe other than John Tesh!

The scoop first leaked out in a new unaithorized Oprah Winfrey biography by Kitty Kelley, who said Tesh and Oprah shared an apartment in Nashville, in the 1970s. According to the book John Tesh finally decided to leave the relationship because of the societal issues raised by an interracial relationship at that time, which is sad to hear but not surprising.

John Tesh himself has now come out and confirmed that they were once an item: "Oprah and I were cub reporters in Nashville nearly 40 years ago and we dated for a short time. We even talked about it during one of my appearances on her show. We remain friends to this day."

Wow! Impressive how they both went on to great things. Kind of hard to imagine them together, somehow. Are there any photos?

Long before she was a billionaire media mogul romantically linked to Stedman Graham, young Oprah Winfrey reportedly had a different boyfriend: John Tesh. In a new, unauthorized Winfrey tell-all, celebrity biographer Kitty Kelley claims that Winfrey and the one-time Entertainment Tonight co-host were lovers who shared an apartment in Nashville, Tenn. in the mid-1970s. According to New York's Daily News, an excerpt from the book reveals that Tesh, now 57, abandoned Winfrey, now 56, because of the intense "social pressure" of their interracial romance.
