"We'll Make Bail, We'll Plead Not Guilty": MJ Doc

Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray, who many blame for the star's tragic death, is now facing serious charges for involuntary manslaughter for the incident in which Jackson was given a deadly dose of the drug Propofol.

Conrad Murray is a cardiologist by trade, but assumed a sort-of catch all medical service provider for Michael Jackson, allegedly providing whatever sort of drug MJ wanted from day-to-day. Ed Chernoff "We'll make bail, we'll plead not guilty and we'll fight like hell," The American Society of Anesthesiologists has said that that doctors using propofol need training to manage the possible complications that come with anesthesia, and they must be physically present throughout sedation and monitor patients "without interruption" to make sure nothing goes wrong. Rescue equipment "must be immediately available," it said.

Michael Jackson's doctor has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of the pop star. Dr. Conrad Murray, a Houston cardiologist who was with Jackson when he died June 25, entered his plea Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court just hours after he was charged. He could face up to four years in prison if convicted. Murray appeared in court in a gray suit as Jackson's father Joe, mother Katherine, and siblings LaToya, Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Randy sat behind prosecutors.
