Smithsonian Roof Collapse

Scary news for history buffs, as word has come in of a roof collapse in the hallowed halls of the Smithsonian. but luckily it appears none of the priceless historical materials or artifacts were damaged in the collapse.

The roof collapse was caused the the tremendous snowstorm that has made so much news in the Northeast, and affected a space known as the Garber Facility in Suitland, Md., that contains aircraft, spacecraft and other similar artifacts for the National Air and Space Museum. If you have been to the Smithsonian or seen the "Night at the Museum" film about it, you know the Smithsonian is made up of many locations and galleries and wahrehouses that contain a vast array of historical artifacts. This roof collapse affected a space that is not one of their main facilities, and had been set for renovation for a while and was being closed off from public tours already. So hopefully this is a minor bump in the road on the Smithsonian's mission to preserve our history.

However, staff and "emergency officials" were unable to further investigate due to the conditions in the unstable structure...
