Two pop culture icons met for the first time this week, as Lady Gaga made her debut appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show.

Gaga and Oprah discussed the Lady's many outrageous fashion statements, including her notorious MTV Awards display that she explained was a commentary on the death of Princess Diana, and her outfit she wore alongside Kermit the Frog, which was a commentary on the use of fur in the celebrity and fashion worlds.

They also discussed Lady Gaga's live growing up in NY, in a rich family, before she was a lady or a gaga. Despite cancelling a concert after collapsing due to dehydration the night before, Lady Gaga appeared live on Oprah Winfrey's talk show on Friday, and opened up about the symbolic meaning behind many of her most outrageous fashions.
