Banned Twitter Passwords: Full List


Some inquisitive websurfers hav dug into Twitter's code and discovered their list of 370 banned passwords!

The list of words, hard coded into their sign-up page, is a list iof commonly used passwords that are too easy to guess and hack, and raise to much of a security issues. Many websites have measures in place to discourage you from using simple and obvious passwords, but it's not often you get to see their entire list of least favorite choices. Among the passwords Twitter refuses to take: password, 123456, naked, beavis, butthead, hooters, internet and secret.

The best way to make sure you have a good password is use one that is not an actual word, and randomly has numbers and uppercase letters mixed into it. Don't let yourself get got! Internet security is a vital issue these days, with identity theft on the rise. Ffor the full banned list see below:

If you're on Twitter, that means you registered an account with a password that isn't terribly easy to guess. As you may know, Twitter prevents people from doing just that by indicating that certain passwords such as 'password' (cough cough) and '123456′ are too obvious to be picked. It just so happens that Twitter has hard-coded all banned passwords on the sign-up page...
