December 19, 2009Palin Dodges Tomatoes
Sarah Palin gets lots of love and acclaim from her base in Middle America, but in Minnesota she got a different reception: flying tomatoes. Palin had to dodge the tomatoes thrown by a man in Bloomington, which wound up hitting police officers guarding her. He went on to be arrested for the Palin tomato assault, his attempt to be the American version of the shoe-thrower ending in defeat. The usually outspoken Palin also dodged questions about the tomato dodging, and offered no comment. A Costco in Utah this week was caught removing tomatoes from the reach of their customers, in order to protect Sarah Palin from being the victim of another flying tomato attack..Another Costco store, in Salt Lake City, apparently had reason to believe Palin might not be too popular among Utah residents, as customers reported being unable to find tomatoes anywhere during the week when Sarah Palin was visiting the city for her "Going Rogue" book tour. Luckily disgruntled citizens did not substitute the many other available objects such as potatoes, bottles of Vitamin Water and frozen turkeys.

I wish I could have been the one to throw tomatoes at her. Too bad his aim was so bad and he hit the cops instead! All I have to say to him, it was worth getting arrested to make a point about Palin being a vegetable!!! When I was in the Marines, we trained for weeks in tomato throwing. It helps if their overripe and you mush them a little. Try soup if you can't aim. Posted by: jim at December 20, 2009 12:14 AM You two people deserve each other. Palin is a private citizen.. thus she 'deserves' to have tomatoes tossed at her.... just if your dsugther in high school misses a volleyball set ... we should toss a few vegies her way .. or your son or grandson drops a pass in football .. stone him with fruit. I'm guessing that both of you 'SAY' your in favor of free speach .... it just has to be speeach you want to hear. All others should be blocked out or have carbs tossed at them. God Bless America ... land of the free to throw crap at people I disagree with. right? Posted by: quickwhistle at December 20, 2009 12:37 AM What a bunch of nut jobs who thinks it ok to through tomatoes at Sarah Palin or any political figure. Can can surely disagree with anyone points a view but tomatoes...come on...is there any decency left in this country? It does not take courage to throw tomatoes or any item at some one because you do not like what he/she has to say...it takes courage to stand up for ones beliefs ...so how about we stand up and tell any other nut job that its unacceptable behavior and we should treat one another the way we ourselves would like to to be treated...with respect and dignity. Posted by: Mike at December 20, 2009 1:39 AM I guess the tomato thrower used the best means available to him to express himself , probably to slow thinking to express himself through speach or written word , but I'd guess he's a follower of the Great 1/2 White Dope , "WE'll be out of Iraq" news flash moron you were not in Iraq or the Armed Service , " Change' lets make insurance companies pay for prostitutes and crack whores to have abortions . Posted by: Brad Knight at December 20, 2009 5:31 AM Brad..."the Great 1/2 White Dope"...really? Does the President's race really have a lot to do with his decision making process? Do you think most people in America saw President Bush a Brainiac? The man that famously bragged about being a "C" student after winning the governorship of Texas. The same president that gave up "Sneak and Peek" searches in the first Patriot Act, the Maincore database, the Matrix database, the Office of Total Information Awareness, and the TIPS program which sought to recruit Postal, cable, and utility companies to call in to an hotline if they thought you were a suspicious person when they visited your home. These programs are facts...not rhetoric...or innuendo...or mindless babble like you speak. Look it up.
