December 10, 2009Man Dressed As Santa Kills Family
If you expect news stories about Santa Claus to bring good tidings and cheer, you might want to skip this one. A dreadful news item out of California, where a man dressed up as Santa Claus before killing 9 people and then himself. The tragedy happened one year ago, when Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, recently divorced, went to his ex-wife's Christmas Eve party and opened fire killing the wife and 8 others, before taking his own life. Investigation indicated he put a lot of time into planning the unthinkable crime, which ended with him using an elaborate homemade device to set the house on fire. He burned himself in this stage of the crime, and cops said this was why he killed himself instead of running to Canada, which he had plane tickets to do.
