Court Limits Taser Use


After years of controversy about whether tasers are used too often, an important ruling has come in that aims to set stricter limits on the use of tasers by police officers.

The landmark ruling, fromm the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, seeks to curtail excessive and abusive use of tasers by police, based on a particular case where a taser was used on an unarmed man who was not threatening anybody. Thoough the ruling was on this specific tasering, it may be applied to many other incidents where it is believed cops use excessive force through the libereal usage of the taser. OVer 350 people have died from being tasered in America, according to the link below.
