November 6, 2009McNair Son: Southern Miss Bound!
The son of slain NFL legend Steve McNair is now set to carry on his father's tradition, as the McNair son prepares to attend Southern Miss on a football scholarship. Steve McNair Jr. mulled over many offers from big name colleges but decided to stay close to home at Southern Miss and bring his promising skills as a wide receiver to the Golden Eagles. McNair Jr's father was a top quarterback for the Houston Oilers in the NFL, but his son has gone a different route, choosing to catch passes instead. And coming from a royal football family he got to play catch with many great players in his life, including catching passes from Brett Favre in recent years. After all the tragedy and turmoil around Steve McNair's death, it's good to see some positive news as his son moves on to such good things. Posted at November 6, 2009 3:42 AM Comments
Congrats to Mcnair jr. Hopefully the media will let this kid have somewhat a normal college experience, without all the cameras in his face all the time.
