Fla. Coach Meyer: Fine

Fla. Coach Meyer fell victim to a new SEC rule barring criticism of officials, as he received a hefty fine for speaking to reporters about what he felt was a blown call in the last Florida game.

Coach Meyer believed a call against Tim Tebow was a boner of a mistake, and decided to pursue it be sending tapes to be reviewed by the SEC, but then he took it further by complaining to reporters about the bum call, which placed him in violation of the league's new "no snitching rules" in a manner of speaking. Meyers has said he respects the ruling and will abide by it.

What makes the SEC officials sancrosanct? Do they think they are God or Obama and not subject to adverse comments?

We watch SEC Games constantly. It appears that they (SEC Refrees) are in everygame. They make terrible calls that changes the entire game. The latest one, was last night at the LSU/Ala. game. The ball was caught by an LSU player, yet the refts called it out of sounds. This changed the game completely. Yes, Ala. won and Yes,everyone is happy now, because Ala. and Fla. are both undeafeated and are going to the Championship game in the DOME.

The officials need to be disciplined when they make bad calls, as long as they have the attitude you can do no wrong as a official the officials are going to get by with this poor officiating. Coaches need to be able to take there suspension or fine levied to a higher authority for a hearing.

What a load of crap. If the ref's are that sensitive they should get another job.

Officials are human. Meyer never complained about the two 15 yard game changing penalties in his favor a couple of weeks ago. Nor did Les complain when the replay both was not operational when Alabama made an inbounds catch but was called out and no way to review it at the first of the game. That was a just as much a game changing call. I agree Wesley, play hard and hit hard and QB's aren't exempt.
