Did You Remember to Turn Your Clock Back?

Do you know what happens to people who don't turn their clocks back when daylight savings time hits? Bad thing, bad things happen. So when I ask, did you remember to turn your clock back, you better have the right answer.

Once a man in Idaho forgot to turn his clock back, and the next day he was late for church, and got struck by a bolt of lightning. A woman in Cleveland forgot to turn her clock back, missed a hot date the next day and went on to live out her years alone, talking to her house full of cats. Don't let this happen to you. Turn your clock back, now!

wikipedia

Daylight saving time is the practice of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn. Modern DST was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson, a New Zealand entomologist. Many countries have used it since then; details vary by location and change occasionally.

Just thought I would put my 2 cents worth in regarding the above examples. If a person forgets to set his/her clock back how can they be late for church? Setting clocks back would give them an extra hour which means that they would actually be an hour early. I don't think God would consider that a bad thing. Just a thought!!

You silly wabbits, the examples given are for the SPRING setting, which IS advancing forward one hour!! Daylight savings time encompasses both events: the spring and the fall. Silly wabbits!!!!!

I think Daylight savings time is one of the worst ideas ever to come along and to be perpetuated on the human race. It disrupts the very rhythms of life and has a devastating effect on children in states where it is practiced.

This article is for a 4th grader and even half of those would realize the setting back just makes you early, not late. The people that need this article to be aware of what is going have much bigger issues than a clock.
