Beer-Can Ban: Arlington Heights (VIDEO)

If you like big cans of beer, or little bottles of liquor, stay out of Arlington Heights! That's the message the town is trying to send with their proposed beer cannn ban.

The town's officials say they need to reduce fighting and litter on the streets, and that certain sizes of alcohol cans and bottles are most often sold to problem drinkers that get into trouble. But local vendors say this is unfair and it makes no sense to ban some sizes and not others.. plus the town wull just lose customers to neighboring towns. For more info see the article below:

There's a beer and liquor battle brewing in Arlington Heights. Village officials want to ban certain serving sizes. That would limit what stores can sell. At least one owner isn't happy about it...

OOoohhh---pulleeze! Every comedian and late night talk show host is going to have fun with that one. It's commonly called a knee-jerk reaction to a problem "BAN THE BIG CANS!!!", never
mind the litle guy holding the 18 pack....
I don't think there has been a single law or proposal in this country that has had an actual effect to the related crimes. Why not ban SUV's,
or 28 ft long pickup trucks, because when they run over a nissan, they flatten it....?

They could sell beer only in 1 oz. bottles, and I'd just drink a hundred of them... how rediculous.
