Just as this new media landscape means there will never be another star as big as Michael Jackson, it also means there will never be a news anchor as important and influential as Walter Cronkite.

But where Michael's story became a bizarre tragedy, Cronkite was an example of grace and dignity throughout his 92 years, and always set a standard of integrity and professionalism as a host and journalist.
