July 12, 2009Prince: Jehovah's Witness, and Hip Surgery
Prince fans have been hearing and speculating about this for years now, and more recently it seemed to be confirmed by Wendy and Lisa in an interview on the fan site Prince.org. Any fan who goes to his concerts has noticed that he moves around much less on stage. But it's stiull not really confirmed, and I still have to hope the story is exaggerated, and he will stay healthy and with us for a long time to come! Posted at July 12, 2009 6:19 PM Comments
so...are pain killers against his religion? I am a Christian, and don't mean to sound judgemental..but come on...get the surgery already!!! Or die from excessive use of drugs..prescripton or not!! Posted by: Dimples at July 12, 2009 8:31 PM Two words for ya, Prince....Michael Jackson. We love ya - stick around, and make 50 more years of purple music. Posted by: Otis at July 12, 2009 9:25 PM I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and know other Witnesses who have had successful hip replacement surgery. He needs to find another doctor if the one he is currently using is not skilled enough to operate without blood transfusions. Posted by: cj at July 12, 2009 9:27 PM I agree with cj. I, too, am a Jehovah's Witness and have many friends that have had heart bypass surgery, knee replacements, and even liver transplants. Bloodless surgeries CAN be done by skilled surgeons and prevent the possibility of a patient rejecting the transfusion. Research shows that patients that do not receive transfusions have shorter recovery times and fewer complications. Check it out. Posted by: smw at July 12, 2009 11:25 PM Prince needs to forget Jehovah's what ever they are all for them Ssss put some money in front of these people and they will leave you hanging Prince needs to find JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVER AND LET HIM BE THE DR. IN CHARGE WHEN YOU BELEIVE IN THINGS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THEN YOUR GOING TO SUFFER. Posted by: sandy at July 13, 2009 12:07 AM Prince is one of the architects of the soundtrack of my life. His music has always been meaningful for me and I wish him the best. If he needs hip surgery he should get it done. If he can get it done w/o the blood transfusion great. I hope he doesn't let the Watchtower's errant teaching on blood transfusions keep him from getting the treatment he may need. Posted by: Huey P. Newton at July 15, 2009 12:57 PM Post a comment |
