John Edwards and his former mistress Rielle Hunter once made a sex tape, the New York Daily News reported Sunday. The tape was discovered by former Edwards' aide Andrew Young, claims a Daily News source who saw Young's book proposal.

Young and St. Martin's Press just signed a tell-all book deal in which he also claims the former presidential candidate is the father of Hunter's infant daughter, according to the Daily News...

Young says that his belief in Edwards ran so deep that he agreed to take the fall for the candidate, inviting the pregnant Hunter to live with him, his wife, Cheri, and their three children. Later, after Hunter delivered the baby, Young and his family moved to a different home in California.

While he was unpacking, Young discovered a videocassette, according to the book pitch. Hunter had been hired by the Edwards campaign to videotape the candidate’s movements, but this one is said to have shown him taking positions that weren’t on his official platform.

The purported sex tape confirmed to Hunter that Edwards was even more reckless than he thought.

Madame Sarkozy’s personal trainer Julie Imperiali is in residence at Les Celestins spa in Vichy, about 400km south of Paris, during weekends until July 27th.

Ms Imperiali met the supermodel singer at the Paris Ritz health club in 2004 and when Bruni married Nicolas Sarkozy, she suggested Imperiali train him also. The former French aerobics champion and dancer says she has helped the President lose nearly 4kg (8.8lb).

Raised on a farm near Lyon, Ms Imperiali speaks fluent English (her jetsetting schedule also includes clients in places like LA) but she manages to look great without shunning French favourites wine or cheese. She advises on nutrition, but believes in moderation and that clients should also be able to enjoy themselves.

According to New York Post gossip column Page Six, the woman felt “Anna was invading her space,” and reacted by soaking the star in an alcoholic beverage.

Laimbeer, the former Pistons player who rose to prominence in the organization during the Bad Boys era, resigned as coach of the WNBA's Detroit Shock on June 16. Laimbeer has for years expressed a desire to be an NBA coach.

When he was contacted by The Detroit News on Tuesday and asked about Curry's firing, Laimbeer said, "It's the first I've heard of it. Really, they fired him?"

Government experts called for sweeping safety restrictions Tuesday on the most widely used painkiller, including reducing the maximum dose of Tylenol and eliminating prescription drugs such as Vicodin and Percocet.

"We're here because there are inadvertent overdoses with this Vicodin & Percocet that are fatal and this is the one opportunity we have to eliminate this risk and do something that will have a big impact," said Dr. Judith Kramer of Duke University Medical Center.

The dangers from use or abuse of Vicodin and Percocet may be even more concerning, one key panelist said.

"It seems to me that problems with opiate combinations are clearly more prevalent," Dr. Lewis S. Nelson, chairman of the FDA's Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee, said during a Tuesday press conference held after the two-day meeting.

Explaining the panel's 20-17 vote to ban prescription acetaminophen/opiate drugs like , Nelson said, "There are many deaths that relate to problems with prescription opiate combination acetaminophen products like Vicodin & Percocet, whereas the number of deaths clearly related to the over-the-counter products are much more limited."

Dell Inc, the worlds No.2 PC maker, is developing a pocket-sized device for tapping into the Internet, the Wall Street Journal said citing people familiar with the company's plans.

The gadget would run on Google Inc's Android software, the people told the paper. According to the paper, two people who saw early prototypes described the device as slightly larger than Apple Inc's iPod Touch, which is similar to the iPhone but does not have cellphone capabilities.

Another person who was briefed on the company's plans told the paper that Dell may begin selling the device later this year, though this person said the plan could be delayed or scrapped entirely.

I’m pleased to announce that Gold’s Gym has, with a straight face, declared July “Cankle Awareness Month”. What is a cankle? It’s when your calf morphs into your ankle. It’s not a good look. Gold’s calls it a “growing epidemic”, and wants you to come in and sign up for help. It’s also offering free tips online.

According to the website, “Cankles are the fastest growing ‘aesthetic affliction’ in the United States… even ahead of other bathing suit killers like Muffin Tops, Saddle Bags and Moobs.” Moobs? Does that stand for man boobs? TMI. “In fact, it is estimated that if current trends continue, by the year 2012 Cankles will surpass Love Handles as the number one aesthetic affliction in the world.” Oh really? One would suspect that the person with cankles already has love handles, I mean Love Handles. These “afflictions” have apparently become so serious they deserve capitalization.

Gold’s suggests cankle-busting exercises like…walking! And there are style ideas! Avoid shoes with ankle straps, choosing wedges and platform sandals to make the leg look longer and leaner. “At the gym, wear bright sneakers to draw attention away from the ankle.”

Even a small amount of Tylenol and similar generic brands of acetaminophen could cause liver damage. The FDA's newest guidelines say the maximum daily dose listed on Tylenol and dozens of other painkillers should be reduced to help curb deadly overdoses, according to several news announcements published by the Associated Press on June 30, 2009.

As far back as 2006, studies like the FDA finding warned consumers that acetaminophen, the main ingredient in Tylenol and similar generic brands with the same ingredients is dangerious for liver damage. This comes in the face of the fact that Tylenol is Americans' over-the-counter painkiller of choice. Acetaminophen overdose is also the leading cause of acute liver damage and failure according to the FDA.

According to the 2006 article, "Tylenol Found to Cause Liver Damage, Even in Small Doses," published July 5, 2006 in Natural News, "Healthy adults who took the maximum dose of Tylenol for two weeks were found to have liver damage," according to a study the FDA found in the July 2006 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. Keith Wright, 50, of the Bronx in New York, was taken into custody after he disrobed while sitting in his seat in the back of Flight A 705 on Tuesday evening, authorities said. The plane was carrying about 148 passengers from Charlotte to Los Angeles, the airline said.

Reportedly Keith Wright was unresponsive after he disrobed and a flight attendant asked him to put his clothes back on, said Dan Jiron, a spokesman for the Albuquerque airport. "She asked him on more than one occasion to put on his clothes. She covered him with a blanket and he took that off," Jiron said.

La Parkita and El Espectrito Jr., two mexican little people wrestlers, were found dead in their hotel room in Mexico City. The brothers, 35, were checking into a hotel on Sunday night after a show when they were reportedly approached by two prostitutes.

After hotel staff noticed the women leave the room hours later, but didn't spot the wrestlers, they went to go check on them. La Parkita and El Espectrito Jr. were found lifeless, murdered lying in the beds.

Reports are being released that the hookers belong to Las Goteras (meaning The Drops) which is a gang of whores that robes their clients after making them pass out by drugging their drinks. Unfortunately, the murdered Jimenez brothers overdosed on the drugs which normally don't kill men, but officials believe because the La Parkita and El Espectrito Jr. were of such small size, the dose was fatal to them.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntary recall of 400,000 Simplicity Drop Side cribs sold between January 2005 and June 2009, according to the Associated Press.

As the picture from the CPSC shows, the drop side can detach when the hardware breaks, allowing a child to become trapped and potentially suffocate, which made the Simplicity Crib Recall necessary.

One child died as a result of entrapment, and there are 25 other reports of the drop side detaching, according to the CPSC's report that led to the Simplicity Crib recall.

Stores will provide refunds or store credit for the cribs.

The bagel head injection causes massive swelling, which can then be molded and pressed into the shape of your choosing, because you're an idiot.

Naturally, the Japanese chose the logical shape of a bagel head. Apparently, if a skin-shaped bagel isn’t enough for you, you can add food dye to give color to your bump. So, with a few dots of black food coloring, I guess you could easily transform your plain old bagelhead into a much more delicious cinnamon raisin.

Interesting point, that foreign fans cannot bid for these tickets.. certainly many of his most faithful supporters are outside of our borders. This setup probably ensures that the "no scalping" pleas will fall upon deaf ears. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said on Friday she will resign this month and will not run for re-election as governor.

"I'm not seeking re-election," Palin told a news conference at which she said she would transfer authority to Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell.

Sahel Kazemi was a 20 year old woman who lived in Nashville and worked as a waitress. Police worked Sunday to unravel the relationship between slain former NFL quarterback Steve McNair and his Kazemi who was found shot to death alongside him in his downtown condominium.

McNair, who led the famous Tennessee Titans' drive that came a yard short of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl, was found dead on a sofa in the living room Saturday with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head. His friend, Sahel Kazemi, was very close to him on the floor, killed by a single gunshot. A pistol was discovered near her, but police said it took a while to find the firearm.

McNair and his family frequented the restaurant where Sahel Kazemi was a waitress, according employees and patrons of Dave & Buster's in Nashville. Keith Norfleet, Kazemi's ex-boyfriend, told The Tennessean newspaper that McNair and Kazemi met at the restaurant.

"She was reliable 90 percent of the time," manager Chris Truelove said of Kazemi. "She was pretty outgoing. A lot of the guests liked being around her, and she liked being around the guests." Co-worker Shantez Jobe, 33, she said was friends with Sahel Kazemi. "We talked about who had more fashion sense, and who was the cutest, and who could get more boys, you know some of the stuff girls do," Jobe said about Kazemi

Music manager Allen Klein, a no-holds-barred businessman who bulldozed his way into and out of deals with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, died Saturday in New York after a battle with Alzheimer's disease, a spokesman said.

He was 77. During a career spanning more than 50 years, Allen Klein enjoyed a reputation as a savvy gangster-like figure. But he also earned grudging respect for bullying labels into giving rich deals to his clients - the Animals, the Dave Clark Five and Herman's Hermits.

Allen Klein became most famous - and later infamous - for signing on the Rolling Stones and then the Beatles. Both arrangements eventually spurred lawsuits, with some Beatles fans blaming Allen Klein for contributing to the tensions that broke up the group.

A Walt Disney World employee was killed when two monorails carrying several guests crashed at Magic Kingdom, emergency officials said. According to Reedy Creek Emergency Services, the monorails collided at about 2 a.m. Sunday, killing one of the train operators.

Austin Wuennenberg, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. An incorrect spelling of the victim's last name was initially provided by law enforcement officials. The operator of the other monorail was not injured. Eight other people were evaluated after the crash, but no other injuries were reported.

A witness told Local 6 News that he heard a loud crashing noise when the Disney monorail crash happened. Video obtained exclusively by Local 6 News shows guests trying to help the driver who was killed in the disney monorail crash.

The monorail, which shuttles thousands of visitors around the sprawling resort each day, was shut down while authorities investigated the cause of the fatal holiday accident.

Organizers of Michael Jackson’s memorial in Los Angeles began informing registrants on Sunday if they had been awarded one of the 8,750 pairs of free tickets to the Tuesday funeral / memorial.

Interest in tickets quickly intensified last Friday after Michael Jackson’s family and business representatives announced a memorial, which people are calling a funeral at the downtown Staples Center but imposed a lottery for fans to get the 17,500 free tickets reserved for them in the arena and an adjacent theater.

The Web site to register for the lottery for the "funeral tickets" received 500 million hits within the first hour last week. Over the weekend, 1.6 million people registered online for tickets.

Each person whose name is drawn will receive two tickets and was notified by e-mail after 11 a.m. Pacific time (2 p.m. Eastern) Sunday with instructions on where to go on Monday to pick up their tickets, organizers said. A submarine scouring the Indian Ocean on Sunday detected the signal beacons of the two black boxes from a Yemenia Airways flight that crashed off the Comoros Islands, the French aviation agency said. Plans were underway to retrieve the Yemenia black boxes within days, an official from Yemen said.

A 12-year-old girl, Bahia Bakari, who clung to debris for up to 13 hours, is the only known survivor of Tuesday's crash, which killed 152 people flying from Paris to Moroni, the capital of the Comoros, via San'a in Yemen.

The chief of Yemen's Civil Aviation Authority, Hamed Ahmad Faraj, had only grim news Sunday for reporters, saying that search planes have spotted another floating body from the Yemenia crash, that the black boxes are hoped to better explain.

The Airbus A310's flight data and cockpit recorders inside the Yemenia black boxes are critical to help investigators understand why the flight went down, but the one-line statement from the French investigation agency BEA gave no indication when they might be recovered.

Authorities say a fireworks explosion on a North Carolina island has killed one worker and critically injured four others.

Hyde County spokeswoman Jamie Tunnell says everyone hurt Saturday worked for a company setting up the annual Independence Day fireworks display on the Ocracoke Island.

Authorities say no danger remains, and ferries are running again. Robert Raborn says the explosion was heard across Ocracoke village.

Raborn says from his vantage point 200 yards away, it looked like 40 minutes worth of fireworks went off in four seconds in the accident & explosion that killed one and critically caused serious injuries for others.

A federal official informed of Ruth Madoff’s departure from her apartment Thursday tells The Associated Press that when marshals said she couldn’t take her fur coat, she left carrying just a straw bag.The official wasn’t authorized to discuss the details of Ruth Madoff’s departure and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Proceeds from a sale of the property and its contents could be used to help reimburse those who lost billions of dollars investing with Madoff before he confessed to running a Ponzi scheme. U.S. Marshal Joseph Guccione said the marshals arrived at the property at noon with a court order permitting them to take custody of the apartment and to make anyone living there move out.

Just hours after fans and well wishers received emails confirming that they had indeed earned two Michael Jackson memorial service tickets, a number of tickets were found on Ebay and other auction/sales websites.

The King of Pop aka Michael Jackson's only official memorial service is slated to take place Tuesday with over 8,700 expected to earn access to Los Angeles' Staples Center and nearby Nokia Theater.

Late last week, the Jackson family made nearly 9,000 seats available for fans and well wishers through a lottery based ticketing system. As expected the amount of requests for the memorial surpassed one million and in fact, totaled near 1.6 million late Saturday, July 4.

As promised, as early as 2pm ET Sunday, a select few received an email confirming two seats for Tuesday's memorial. Hours later "buy it now" and other headlines appeared on everything from EBay to Craiglist, with the highest bid at $20,000. The authenticity, in addition to the sale of such Jackson Memorial tickets being inappropriate, made most of the alleged "tickets and vouchers" end up on a flagged list and they were ultimately removed.

A Walt Disney World monorail crash killed a young driver early this morning when two trains collided as visitors were leaving the theme park, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Stunned employees and park visitors tried to reach Austin Wuennenberg, the 21-year -old monorail driver who was trapped in the crushed cockpit, local news reports said. (Watch eyewitness video of the crash scene from Orlando TV station WKMG.)

The Disney World monorail crash happened around 2 a.m. Sunday at the Transportation and Ticket Center, located at the parking lot of the Magic Kingdom, according to Walt Disney World spokesman Mike Griffin.

Already, sales of the canned spiced ham (that spice is...salt!) are at the highest since World War II, and they're just going to get higher. Since there's no advice on the can, I asked some of the best chefs in the nation to come up with inexpensive Spam recipes. I was with Brandon Boudet of Dominick's in Los Angeles when he tried his hand at Spamghetti carbonara, and we were both happy with the way it turned out. I was also impressed with the eight spam recipes the other chefs submitted. Almost impressed enough to cook them myself. Almost.

Cycling legend Lance Armstrong, happy with the results of his workout, tried to share a couple of videos of his ride with his 700,000 Lance Armstrong Twitter followers -- people who have \signed up to get Lance Armstrong's periodic (and often very personal) twitter updates.

But after posting two messages with links to his cycling videos, Armstrong realized two things: the cycling videos weren't working, and when his followers followed the links, they found Lance's personal e-mail address (jp@livestrong.org) listed in an error message.

After realizing the Lance Armstrong Twitter problem he had started, he then sent out this tweet: "doh. videos don't work and my email address just went out to 700k of y'all. ha!"

Apparently, it didn't take much prodding for many of those fans to begin inundating LAcne Armstrong's twitter and email with messages. "i'd love to respond to all of these emails coming in but there's no way!!" Lance soon posted...

About an hour later, Lance Armstrong sent this out on twitter: "That was the most interesting hour I've had since I started tweeting. Classic." But there was one question that apparently many of Lance's followers were asking him. What did the "JP" stand for in his e-mail address?

It stands for Juan Pelota, the name of Lance Armstong's Bike Shop in Austin Texas, where he sells his elite cycling gear and top cycles.

Metro Police say they've learned Saleh Kazemi bought a semi-automatic pistol from a private individual, believed to be in Davidson County, last Thursday night.

They are still conducting tests according to police spokesman Don Aaron that include a check of gun powder residue on Saleh Kazemi's body. During a news conference with reporters at Police Headquarters, Aaron also said crime scene detectives again returned to the Lea Avenue condominium today and are piecing together what they believe happened .

Aaron also said police are "concerned" about the lapse in time between when the bodies of McNair and Saleh Kazemi were found Saturday and when 911 was called about the shootings. This shooting is one of the saddest recent stories in sports news, with many football fans sad to lose one of their favorite football players. The couple, who got engaged in December, first met when Mike McCuddy, 34, built the house next to Kara's in Maine. On an even sweeter note, the couple exchanged vows in front of about 30 guests at the United Methodist Church, which is located across the street from her house.

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has spoken of his fears after contracting swine flu.

The 20-year-old, who plays Harry's friend Ron Weasley in the hit franchise, said he was alarmed when the doctors first diagnosed the illness.

"It was quite scary when I first found out I had swine flu I thought 'Am I going to die?', but it was just like any other flu I've had before."Said Rupert Grint about his Swine flu “It was just a sore throat and I was in bed for a while,” he said. I took my prescription medication and followed doctor's orders and I was fine.

These comments about Rupert Grint's swine flu came as he was speaking ahead of the world premiere of the latest Potter film, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, which has its world premiere in London's Leicester Square tomorrow night.

No reports yet on whether Rupert Grint's swinf flu was also contracted by his house-elf.

Three's Company's Joyce DeWitt Arrested for DUI: Actress Joyce Dewitt, 60, is best known for, playing Janet Wood AKA third banana on the show.

Seriously, Joyce DeWitt was arrested for DUI on July 4th in El Segundo, California. An officer saw DeWitt drive a vehicle past a traffic control barricade. As the officer spoke with DeWitt, he noticed the odor of alcohol.

Joyce DeWitt was given a field sobriety test, which she failed. She was arrested for DUI, but posted a $5,000 bail the next day and was released.

Sgt. Danny Kim said an officer arrested the 60-year-old Joyce DeWitt after she exhibited signs of drinking and he gave her field sobriety tests. Kim said the Joyce DeWitt DUI was booked in El Segundo, cited and released on her own recognizance.

Besides "Three's Company," Joyce DeWitt has not had a strong career, and has had several problems with the law in the past. Drunk driving and driving under the influence are serious offenses, and Joyce Dewitt's DUI will require some serious legal help from top attorneys, to get her out of this mess.

The New York Daily News says its source saw Chris Brown arrive at the party with Rihanna look-a-like Teyana Taylor, then promptly leave her side to flirt with Amber Rose for the rest of the evening.

"Diddy announced the deejay would do a tribute to Michael Jackson," said the source. "Chris Brown did an amazing impression of Michael's moonwalk. It wasn't long before he was dancing with Amber Rose."

Later, as the party wound down, Amber Rose and Chris Brown reportedly nestled on a couch in the backyard of the Beverly Hills mansion. "They were holding hands and making out in the shadows," said a witness. "She had her hand on his leg."

The surviving sections of the world’s oldest Bible, the Codex Sinaiticus, have been pieced together and unified online Monday, creating a unique opportunity for scholars to learn more about the centuries-old manuscript.

As part of a four-year joint project, the oldest bible, Codex Sinaiticus, online has been digitized for the first time, reuniting sections held by the British Library in London, the Monastery of St. Catherine in Sinai, Egypt, the National Library of Russia and Leipzig University Library in Germany, according to Reuters.

The Codex Sinaiticus was hand-written in Greek by four scribes in the mid-fourth century, around the time of Constantine the Great, the Roman emperor who embraced Christianity.

The Codex Sinaiticus, which was originally around 1,400 pages long, is now a collection of 800 pages and fragments online as the oldest bible for the first time.

As seen online, the oldest Bible, Codex Sinaiticus's text was written on vellum, a type of animal hide, and the pages that have survived include the entire New Testament and the earliest surviving copy of the Gospels, written after Christ’s death by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Health Canada and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration are warning consumers not to buy two types of energy drinks, saying that utility knife blades were found in two vials in an apparent case of tampering. The FDA said Sunday that the blades were found in one vial each of Hardcore Energize Bullet drink and New Whey liquid products. Both are being recalled. Hardcore Energize Bullet, manufactured by Protica Inc., of Whitehall, Penn., is sold in Canada in two flavours, Blue Rage and Black Rush. New Whey is made and sold in the United States by IDS of Oviedo, Fla. Health Canada says the unauthorized health product, imported by Upper 49th Imports, is sold at various retail outlets across Canada. The drink is packaged in 85.7 millilitre vials and is consumed in a shot form. The manufacturer is investigating this incident and Health Canada has requested Upper 49th Imports to recall all the affected products from the market. Upper 49th Imports' investigation involves the following four lot numbers of the two products: 1794, 1961, 1962, and 1963. No injuries have been reported as a result of the tampering. The Ricketts family has reached a deal for bankrupt media company Tribune Co to sell the storied Chicago Cubs baseball team. for slightly less than the original $900 million bid, a source familiar with the deal said Monday.

As the Tribune reaches a deal to sell the cubs, the word is as follows: "There is a deal between the Ricketts and Tribune Co." to sell the Cubs, said the source, who asked not to be identified because the agreement has not been announced. Spokesmen for Ricketts and Tribune Co. (TRBCQ) were not immediately available to comment. The Ricketts family, led by Chicago investment banker Tom Ricketts, agreed in January to buy the team, its home park of Wrigley Field and a stake in a regional sports cable TV network for $900 million.

Sources say the deal stipulates the the Chicago Cubs will continue to be mediocre and tantalize their fans for another 60 years before winning another championship. Parts of this last paragraph may be completely made up.

The FBI has announced they are not investigating Sarah Palin, who announced last week she will resign as governor of Alaska, as has been rumored on the Internet, the agency said.

Palin's activities, including those as governor and mayor of the town of Wasilla, aren't being probed, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"Sarah Palin is not the subject of an FBI investigation," said Eric Gonzalez, an FBI spokesman in Alaska, in a telephone interview today.

A lawyer for Palin, Thomas Van Flein of Anchorage, denied in a July 4 statement what he called "false and defamatory" claims on the Internet that she resigned because she is under criminal investigation related to the construction of a sports complex in her hometown of Wasilla. Allegations that Palin, 45, had embezzled from the project are false, according to Van Flein.

Palin was Republican presidential nominee John McCain's running mate when he lost to Democrat Barack Obama last year.

Federal investigators had probed allegations of corruption among other Alaska political leaders.

C. David Heymann’s latest book, "Bobby and Jackie: A Love Story," details the four-year relationship between the two prominent Kennedys. Marion Barry's latest run-in with the law centers on his relationship with political consultant Donna Watts-Brighthaupt, who alleges that he continues to approach her even though they split up a few months ago.

U.S. Park Police arrested Marion Barry for stalking about 8:45 p.m. in Anacostia Park after a woman flagged down an officer to report that a man in a nearby vehicle was "bothering her," police said.

A day after former figure skating champion Nicole Bobek appeared via videolink in a Jersey City courtroom on a drug-dealing conspiracy charge, the Hudson County Sheriff's Office has released her mugshot to The Jersey Journal.

Now 31, Bobek, who made bail late last night, sports a different look from the 1990s when she was a blond Olympian and U.S Nationals winner.

After yesterday's hearing, where Nicole Bobek (see mugshot) appeared on a video screen from the county jail in Kearny, Bobek's attorney was able to have her bail reduced form $200,000 cash or bond to $100,000 cash or bond, officials said today.

A state Superior Court judge has allowed Nicole Bobek to return to her Florida home, but restricted her travel to that state and New Jersey, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Dave Rastogi told The Jersey Journal.

Talk about bad lies and lousy bounces. Phil Mickelson's mother, Mary, was diagnosed with breast cancer last week about the same time his wife Amy was undergoing breast cancer surgery.

Mary Mickelson, 67, is scheduled for surgery Friday at the same hospital where her daughter-in-law was treated, the world-renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Mickelson's sister, Tina, told the San Diego Union Tribune she wanted to make Phil Mickelson's mother's breast cancer condition known so she could receive the same outpouring of support and prayers that meant so much to Amy

"We don't feel like we're alone in this," Mickelson said before competing in the U.S. Open at Bethpage two weeks ago. "And there are 200,000 people that go through this, or get diagnosed with breast cancer alone every year. So we are by far a long ways away from being the only person going through this. So many people do. But to feel that support, it means a lot."

It is not known whether Amy's diagnosis triggered Phil Mickelson's mother into any early breast cancer testing. Early detection played a big part in Amy Mickelson's more optimistic prognosis.

Director Michael Bay apparently made Megan Fox wash a Ferrari as part of her audition for Transformers, the U.K. Guardian reports (via Page Six). And he filmed it, too.

Model-turned-actress Megan Fox was forced to lather up and clean a Ferrari to land herself the female lead in 'Transformers', according to a British film critic.

“He made her wash his Ferrari while he filmed her,” Jason Solomons told the Guardian. “She said she didn’t know what had happened to that footage. When I put it to Bay himself, he looked suitably abashed -- ‘Er, I don’t know where it is either'.”

A fourth-grade teacher in Falmouth, Maine, has apologized for playing the groom in a mock wedding to a student. The Portland Press Herald reports that Paul Rosenblum agreed to participate after the girl proposed and his class at the Plummer-Motz School cajoled him.

At the brief playground ceremony, Rosenblum wore a black graduation gown and a clown tie. The girl had a sheet draped around her clothes for a gown. There was no kiss.

The school later received several phone calls about it. Rosenblum says he was only intending to indulge "a little girl's game of dress-up and make-believe." He called it a lapse in judgment and says he is remorseful and "sick with regret."

Boyle, the director of the Oscar-winning hit, and producer Christian Colson will transfer the $50,000 one-bedroom apartment to Azhar's name when he turns 18, provided he finishes school.

Jackson Family Honors Michael In Versace

Janet Jackson, Latoya Jackson, Michael’s children (in custom designs) and his brothers are wearing Versace to Michael Jackson’s memorial service today. A source familiar with the situation reports that Janet Jackson personally contacted Donatella Versace to request that the Italian label dress the family as a tribute to one of her brother’s favorite designers, the late Gianni Versace. Michael was one of the brand's acclaimed fans and wore his designs both on and off the stage.

Taking center stage is Michael's casket, a 14-karat gold covered, velvet-lined showpiece that costs $25,000. Perhaps this is the last time we will see him in gold, he nonetheless will be remembered for his glitzy stage outfits, and his late 1990s HIStory tour featured costumes by Versace.

On Tuesday, BBC News reported that Jamie Waylett, the young actor who plays Vincent Crabbe in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," has been charged with growing cannabis plants in his mother's North London home.

In April, Waylett, 19, was arrested in Westminster and charged with possession of 8 bags of marijuana, according to the London Telegraph. Earlier this year in England, marijuana was upgraded from a Class C drug to Class B, which makes it more serious to possess and produce. If convicted of producing cannabis in his home, Jamie Waylett could face up to 14 years in prison.

The timing of the arrest for Jamie Waylett's growing marijuana is rather unfortunate for career. Like other background characters in the "Harry Potter" universe, Vincent Crabbe becomes more important to the plot as the saga continues. Waylett's arrest and possible conviction could overshadow his good work in the final movies in the series.

After she was was spotted wearing a diamond ring in Miami on July 4, her rep contacted Us Weekly and confirmed that is client Bethenny Frankel is engaged to Jason Hoppy.

"I can confirm Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are engaged, in love and plan on getting married," the rep said. "So I guess this is the starter ring."

A Brett Favre signing with the Minnesota Vikings is expected to be announced in time for the start of the team's single-game ticket sales July 20.

The Vikings will play Favre's former team, the Green Bay Packers, Oct. 5 at the Metrodome on Monday night on ESPN. The Vikings are planning to require anyone buying a ticket to that game to also buy a ticket to the Aug. 21 exhibition game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Meanwhile, a little birdie heard that quarterback Brett Favre and wife Deanna last weekend made a $30,000 deposit on a condominium near 50th and France in Edina.

I have been absolutely shocked by the “Raven Symone gives birth” headlines! I didn’t even know she was pregnant, and it seems there is no actual evidence confirming she was pregnant, and indeed had a baby.

There is this picture of what people are saying is her daughter, Lilianna Pearman, but honestly that could be anyone’s baby. According to several reports, Raven had a little girl with her longtime friend, Jussie Smollet. The pregnancy, if true, was obviously kept under wraps. Little Lilianna was reportedly born in an Atlanta hospital earlier this summer.

Many people are saying that this is nothing but a rumor, however her camp has yet to comment. There are some photos of Raven posted below taken on the 4th of July, but she could have had the baby and hidden the weight in that baggy jump suit.

Malt-O-Meal Co. is voluntarily recalling oatmeal that contains instant nonfat dry milk that may be contaminated with salmonella.

The instant nonfat dry milk came from Plainview Milk Products Cooperative of Minnesota which is recalling products made over the past two years due to the possible contamination. Many of Plainview's products were sold to other food makers.

Minneapolis-based Malt-O-Meal is recalling "Maple & Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal" sold in cartons and variety packs with best-if-used-by dates of June 30, 2009 to Oct. 28, 2010.

The oatmeal is sold nationally under brands including Cub Foods, Diamond Crystal, Fastco, Flavorite, Foodland, Good 'n Hearty, Hearty Traditions, Hy-Top, IGA, Mom's Best Natural, Megaroons, Millville, Our Family, Richfood, Shop 'n Save and Smart Menu.

More drama is brewing for Lindsay Lohan. The troubled starlet is being sued by a St. Petersburg, Fla., chemist for stealing the formula for her Sevin Nyne sunless tanning spray.

Jennifer Sunday filed the lawsuit in Tampa, Fla. Federal court against Lohan and Lorit Simon, a Las Vegas businesswoman who air-brush tans celebrities and partnered up with Lohan to produce Sevin Nyne.

Lilo and Simon claim credit for creating the tanning spray over the last three years.

But Sunday’s attorney, Marcia Cohen, insists her client only recently perfected the formula used in the spray tan.

According to the St. Petersburg Times, Sunday is suing Lohan, Simon, and Simon’s company for breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations and deceptive and unfair trade practices.

Oscar G. Mayer, retired chairman of the Wisconsin-based meat processing company that bears his name, has died at the age of 95.

Mayer's wife, Geraldine, said that he died of old age Monday at Hospice Care, in Fitchburg.

He was the third Oscar Mayer in the family that founded Oscar Mayer Foods, which was once the largest private employer in Madison. His grandfather, Oscar F. Mayer, died in 1955, and his father, Oscar G. Mayer Sr., died in 1965.

Mayer retired as chairman of the board in 1977 at age 62 soon after the company recorded its first $1 billion year. The company was later sold to General Foods, and is now a business unit of Kraft.

Mayer's first wife, Rosalie, died in 1998. He married Geraldine Fitzpatrick in 1999.

30 Arrested, 200 Dogs Seized: Dogfighting Raids

As many as 350 dogs were seized (at least 200) and about 30 people arrested during raids in five states Wednesday that animal welfare groups are calling the largest simultaneous raids of dogfighting operations in the U.S.

U.S. attorneys in four of the states announced related indictments accusing 26 people of cruelties ranging from denying animals medical treatment to shooting dogs in the head when they didn't fight well, then throwing their carcasses into a river or burning them in a barrel.

The 30 Arrests and over 200 dogs seized make this a record breaking dogfighting raid.

Task forces of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies conducted the raids and made arrests in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Texas and Oklahoma following a more than year-long investigation prompted by information gathered by the Humane Society of Missouri. It wasn't clear whether or to what extent the operations were related...

Lenny Dykstra, the former star center fielder for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies Major League Baseball teams, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, court records show.

The 46-year-old has no more than $50,000 of assets and between $10 million and $50 million of liabilities, according to a petition filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Central District of California.

Jonathan Hayes, one of Dykstra's lawyers, had no immediate comment.

Dykstra's filing comes in the wake of some 20 lawsuits he faces tied to his activities as a financial entrepreneur, including The Players Club, a glossy magazine he had helped launch, according to published reports.

Google Inc. is working on a new operating system for inexpensive computers in a daring attempt to diminish Microsoft Corp.'s longstanding control over people's computer experience.

The new operating system will be based on the company's nine-month-old Web browser, Chrome. Google intends to rely on help from the community of open-source programmers to develop the Chrome operating system, which is expected to begin running computers in the second half of 2010.

Google announced its plan this week as industry officials gathered at a media conference in the Sun Valley resort.

Google is designing the operating system primarily for "netbooks," a lower-cost, less powerful breed of laptop computers that is becoming increasingly popular among budget-conscious consumers primarily interested in surfing the Web.

New Jersey Man Dies in Chocolate

A 29-year-old man died yesterday morning after he fell into an eight-foot vat of chocolate at a Camden facility that officials think may have been operating illegally.

Vincent Smith II of Camden fell from a nine-foot platform as he was tossing blocks of solid raw chocolate into a 120-degree tank used to mix and melt the chocolate for Hershey's candy, according to Jason Laughlin, spokesman for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

A coworker slammed on an emergency shutoff switch as two others tried to rescue Smith, Laughlin said, but Smith, a temporary worker, was hit by a paddlelike mechanism that mixes the chocolate. He was dead when firefighters pulled his body out about 10:45 a.m.

In his decade running the Detroit Pistons, Joe Dumars hasn't been known for showing patience with head coaches. He insists that is about to change.

Moments after introducing Cavaliers assistant John Kuester as Detroit's sixth coach in 10 years, Dumars said Thursday that Kuester "might have the most job security of anyone in the NBA."

"Bless you, Joe," said Kuester with a laugh.

Kuester replaces Michael Curry, who was fired on June 30 after going 39-43 in his first season and being swept by Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs. Detroit had reached the Eastern Conference finals in the previous six seasons under Rick Carlisle, Larry Brown and Flip Saunders.

Former Buffalo Bills star Bruce Smith was convicted of drunken driving Thursday by a judge who rejected his claim that old football injuries, not alcohol, were responsible for his poor performance on field sobriety tests.

Smith declined to answer reporters' questions after his trial in Virginia Beach General District Court. He promptly appealed the verdict to Virginia Beach Circuit Court, which set a hearing in the case for Aug. 27.

"We just hope for a better result in appealing," Smith's lawyer, Larry Cardon, told reporters.

Smith also was convicted of speeding and refusing to take an alcohol breath test. Judge Teresa McCrimmon gave Smith a 90-day suspended jail term and fined him $350 for DUI. She also suspended his driver's license for a year for refusing the breath test and fined him $90 for speeding.

*Federal prosecutors have dropped charges against former Washington Mayor Marion Barry, who was accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend in Southeast D.C. last weekend.
U.S. Park Police arrested the current city councilman on Saturday on a stalking charge after they said a woman complained she was being stalked.

Barry's lawyer denied the allegations and said he was arrested on the way home from a meal with the woman, Donna Watts-Brighthaupt. Watts-Brighthaupt earlier this week also released a statement that appeared to deny she had accused him of stalking.

A West Virginia pharmacy felt as though their pill costumes and prescription bottles filled with candy were a hit with the crowd at the local parade. Those promotional items have turned into the subject of controversy.

"We saw these little cylinders rolling on the ground as the drug store was coming up through there," said Tammy Casto. "I opened it up, and it had candy in it." As a mother of three, Casto was concerned that Ripley Pharmacy was sending out a message to children that candy comes from prescription bottles.

"There are so many pills that look like candy and if they're young they don't know the difference," she said. The Ripley Pharmacy thought the bottles were just a clever marketing device and had no intentions of spreading a negative message to children.

For Dodie Rhodes, she feels the prescription bottles filled with candy were disturbing. She recently lost her son, Chris, to a prescription drug overdose. She's been working with the Anti-Drug Coalition to keep pills out of kids' hands.

Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. said it would shut down its 56-store Smith & Hawken chain by the end of the year.

Storewide sales for the Novato-based Smith & Hawken chain will begin Thursday and will be managed by an outside firm. Orders on Smith & Hawken’s web site, catalog and call center have been discontinued. Smith & Hawken has only one location in the Sacramento area, in Roseville.

Jim Hagedorn, CEO of the Marysville, Ohio-based Scotts, said in a statement that “the combination of a weak economy and the lack of scale proved too great to overcome.” For a year, Scotts had been exploring options for the high-end garden brand it bought in 2004 for $68.5 million but decided closing the business was the “best option available,” Hagedorn said.

The company in its last annual report said the chain has consistently underperfomed since it was acquired. Scotts’ “corporate and other” segment, which consists of Smith & Hawken and administrative expenses, posted a 23 percent decline in sales at $51.2 million for the six months ended March 29.

The one-sided war of attrition between Karl Lagerfeld and Heidi Klum has been briefly cancelled. It seems Dame Lagerfeld’s newest enemy is none other than French actress Audrey Tautou. American audiences will know Audrey from The DaVinci Code, and the Oscar-nominated French film Amelie. She’s currently promoting her role as the young Coco Chanel in Coco Avant Chanel. The film has caused some minor controversy here and there - Audrey’s casting as Coco wasn’t universally loved, and there was some rabble-rousing over the images of cigarettes and smoking in the posters.

Though Lagerfeld is the fashion director for Chanel, he doesn’t have a say in anything other than the clothing line. So Audrey Tautou wasn’t even Karl’s choice to replace Nicole Kidman as the face of Chanel No. 5 - nor was Karl involved in Coco Avant Chanel, although the director recently claimed Karl had given his blessing. What seemed to set off the anger bear this time was a recent interview with Audrey, where she didn’t seem to gush over Chanel clothing. Karl responded in turn, saying “After that, I don’t have to be nice.” What’s French for “bitchslap”?

A form of ebola virus has been detected in pigs for the first time, raising concerns it could mutate and threaten humans, scientists report. Reston ebola virus has only been seen in monkeys and humans previously and, unlike other types of ebola, it is not known to cause illness in people.

The discovery of REBOV in pigs in the Philippines is reported in Friday's edition of the journal Science. Researchers say it is theoretically possible for the virus to mutate in pigs into a form that might sicken people....

Fewer tall ships sailed into Boston Harbor this year than for the last festival nearly a decade ago, but that didn’t seem to matter to the visitors who boarded the moored vessels Saturday.

‘‘I love the ships,’’ said Abi Heaton, 5, of Mansfield, who was exploring the seven boats tied up near the Charlestown Navy Yard and the Seaport World Trade Center. ‘‘I love the flags and the pretty colors.’’

Her father, James, agreed. ‘‘I did this in 2000 and always wanted to do it again,’’ he said. ‘‘It has been a great event. We have been here for awhile and been entertained the whole time. It is great to see things from all over the world.’’

This year’s event had 40 ships, compared with 100 in 2000. Sail Boston projected between 300,000 and 500,000 people would visit them in Boston and Winthrop between Thursday and Sunday. The 2000 event drew 7.5 million people.

From a television viewing standpoint on "The Ultimate Fighter," Michael Bisping was better than Dan Henderson. Bisping was charismatic as coach of Team UK. Henderson was pretty bland as coach of Team USA.

But that's just on television. Inside the Octagon, at UFC 100, oh my God!

Henderson absolutely blasted Bisping in the face with a right hand that knocked out the Brit and left him motionless in the Octagon midway through the second round of their middleweight bout. It earned Henderson a $100,000 bonus for Knockout of the Night.

Henderson threw a loaded right hand that will have Bisping (18-2) asking what happened weeks after watching the videotape of the fight. Then, just for fun, Henderson

With Bisping flat on his back, Henderson landed a flying right hand square to Bisping's face before referee Mario Yamasaki could get in there to stop the fight.

In a post titled "So Long Old Knee" on her Web site, Fonda, 71, wrote that her knee joint was to "be sawed out and in its place will go a titanium rod and ceramic joint."

According to Fonda, it had been "a strong, faithful knee." She said it helped her "up a lot of steep mountains and across rugged terrain." And she recalled smooches by former husband Roger Vadim, who liked to kiss her knees.

The avid blogger took to Twitter as well, writing: "Drugs starting to hit. Wheeee. So long left knee. You're toast!"

Fonda was supposed to have the operation in January but she put off the surgery after signing up to perform in 33 Variations on Broadway, relying on cortisone shots to get her through performances.

But last month she was forced to use a stick for her final performances as her knee problems got worse...

American actress Jane Fonda has slammed reports that her famous "workouts" were the cause of her recent knee replacement surgery.

Fonda, 71, who insists she suffers from a hereditary form of arthritis, had surgery for her left knee, and critics have claimed that it would not have been necessary had it not been for her excessive exercise regime.

An online report suggested the fitness fanatic's famous Jane Fonda Workout programmes, which became cult viewing in the late 1970s and 1980s, were to blame.

But the actress has insisted that bad genes were the real cause, and not exercising.

"A recent article in the Daily Mail (newspaper) reports that my knee replacement surgery was the result of years of repetitive pounding from doing my Jane Fonda Workout programs," Contactmusic quoted her as writing in a post-surgery blog.

"Wrong! It is a result of osteoarthritis which my father, Henry Fonda, also suffered from, as does my brother, Peter, who may need hip replacement soon.

SINGER Prince has refused to have urgent hip surgery because it interferes with his religion as a Jehovah's witness. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prince refuses to have the surgery because it interferes with his religion.

He became a Jehovah’s Witness in 2001, and the religion bans blood transfusions. A source tells THR, "He's in a lot of pain. He's popping pain killers and hoping it will all go away."

The mystery of a Manhattan mom who disappeared from her office-cleaning job ended with a tragic discovery Saturday: her body in an air conditioning duct, police said.

Eridania Rodriguez's remains were discovered at 8:50 a.m. between the 12th and 13th floors of 2 Rector St. after dozens of cops and sniffer dogs spent a second day searching.

The floor where her body was found is under construction.

A bad smell and missing ceiling tiles made search teams focus on the area, sources said. Shortly after the grisly discovery, police arrived at the family home in Inwood to break the news to Rodriguez's loved ones.

The 46-year-old was last seen alive Tuesday evening.

People who knew Byrd and Melanie Billings say they were generous people who liked to give back to the community. Those same people are trying to understand just why someone would want to take that away.

Right next door to the house the Billings lived in, is the Mobile Highway Baptist Church. It's not the church the couple belonged too, but Sunday, members of the Beulah Community prayed for them.

"The children they left behind and they're handicapped," Betty Wynalda. "I just can't imagine who would have the nerve to do something like that."

Wynalda didn't know the Billings personally, but says it hits close to come, happening right next door to the place she spends her Sunday mornings.

"May the Lord give that these murderers are brought to justice and that they see the terribleness of this murder," Harold Wynalda.

Queen elizabeth has lnog been known for her frugality, but in recent times she has had to make exceptions. The Queen has been forced to raid her savings to shore up the crumbling royal palaces, it was revealed yesterday. According to her annual accounts, she had to take an unprecedented £6.4million out of special reserve fund to boost her Civil List earnings.

Some rooms at Buckingham Palace have not been redecorated since the Coronation. The accounts also revealed that £300,000 was spent on improvements to a four-bedroom apartment in St James's Palace so Princess Beatrice could use it as student accommodation.

However, the Queen managed to again save £24,000 by selling poinsettias to offset the cost of her greenhouse.

He's been cast in what's already being considered a sure thing for the fall TV season, but rapper-actor-entreprenur LL Cool J isn't ready to declare victory.

"It's not a coronation, it's the beginning of a journey," he says of the role on "NCIS: Los Angeles," a spinoff of the CBS hit "NCIS."

"I'm not in the end zone dancing," he adds. "We're just kicking the ball off."

Production on the show starts in about two weeks, says the star, born James Todd Smith.

Chris O'Donnell co-stars in the series, set in the Office of Special Projects within the NCIS, which chases criminals who pose a threat to the nation's security.

Six weeks after Phil Mickelson announced his wife had breast cancer, his mother was diagnosed with the disease and is to have surgery later this week.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported on its website that Mary Mickelson discovered she had breast cancer last week. She is to have surgery Friday at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the same hospital where Mickelson's wife, Amy, had surgery last Wednesday.

Mickelson's sister, Tina, told the newspaper she wanted to make her mother's condition known so she could receive the same outpouring of support and prayers that meant so much to Amy Mickelson.

Mickelson has not spoken publicly since the U.S. Open where he was a runner-up for a record fifth time.

His parents live in the same San Diego house where they raised their three children. Mary Mickelson was honored in 1998 as "Mother of the Year" by the San Diego chapter of the March of Dimes. She said at the time, "I don't know if I've done anything extra than other mothers. We've always been involved and have just been there."

Ryan Reynolds has landed the coveted role of "Green Lantern," getting the starring role in Warner Bros.' live-action film based on the DC Comics hero.

Martin Campbell will direct. Production is expected to begin in January.

Warners and Campbell chose Reynolds, who vied for the superhero role along with "The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. The momentum built for Reynolds in the last week, as he was the only actor whose option was extended.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's political action committee raised nearly $733,000 in its first five months, according to a report filed Monday with the Federal Election Commission.

Receipts totaled $732,867.70 in the period between Jan. 1 and June 30, including contributions as high as $5,000 from some individuals.

An estimated $200,000 more has poured into the SarahPAC committee since the former Republican vice presidential candidate announced July 3 that she will step down as governor July 26, said Meghan Stapleton, her personal spokeswoman.

Stapleton said about $1.2 million has been raised between SarahPAC and a fund set up to help Palin pay more than $500,000 in legal debts stemming from multiple ethics complaints filed against her.

"What this tells me is that there is an overwhelming level of grass-roots support for the governor, and that Americans see her as a powerful figure for promoting conservative values," Stapleton said.

A flurry of contributions in the last two days of the reporting period followed an e-mailed plea to supporters.

"It worked, and it's still working," SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford said.

Palin, who is believed to be eyeing a 2012 run for the presidency, launched SarahPAC in late January, saying the goal was to help support candidates for federal and state office...

The "Sixteen Candles" star gave birth to a daughter, Adele Georgiana, and a son Roman Stylianos, who join big sister Mathilda Ereni, 5. The age difference was not a concern for Molly, who had earlier told Fit Pregnancy, "I actually think it's a good thing, considering we're having twins."

The corporate owner of the Chicago Cubs is considering having the team file for bankruptcy protection. People knowledgeable about the process say the move would hasten the club's long-awaited sale by cleaning up its books.

Tribune Co., which itself filed for bankruptcy protection in December, intends for the Cubs' own stay in Chapter 11 to last just a day or two.

Two people familiar with the process described it to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Monday because the bankruptcy plans are not yet public.

The move is not imminent and does not signify that the team cannot pay its bills, one of the people said.

Lance Battreal, Mark Booher and Charles Smith escaped from an Indiana prison Sunday. One of the three inmates who escaped from an Indiana maximum-security prison was captured Monday about eight miles away in southwestern Michigan, officials said.

Charles Smith, 48, who was serving time on a murder charge, was captured in Grand Beach, Michigan, near the vacation home of Richard Daley, the mayor of Chicago, Illinois.

Daley said he was inside with his wife and three grandchildren at the time of the capture. Smith and another of the escapees were spotted walking near the house at 5:30 a.m. by a Chicago police officer assigned to Daley's security detail, the mayor said.

"I think they were lost, and they happened to pass in the vicinity," Daley said. Though Smith was captured and handed over to the Grand Beach Police Department, the other man escaped into the woods, where police have been searching, Daley said.

Joe Jackson is reportedly hoping to take Michael Jackson’s three children on tour in 2010, a biographer of the late “King of Pop” claimed on Monday.

Ian Halperin, a celebrity biographer claimed in The Sun Newspaper that a source close to the family told him Michael’s father already has plans for Prince Michael I, 12; Paris Michael Katherine, 11; and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7.

“Joe wants the children to go on a world tour in 2010. He has also already offered recording contracts to two of Michael’s kids,” Halperin said.

“Now he is talking about getting them the world’s best backing band and taking them on tour as The Jackson Three,” he added.

When asked for an official statement on these criticisms, Joe Jackson responded by ripping off a Tickle Me Elmo's's head with his teeth and eating it.

Antoine Walker Gambling Debt: $822,500!

A warrant was issued for the arrest of former NBA star Antoine Walker on Tuesday on criminal charges stemming from $822,500 in gambling debts.

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melanie Tobiasson signed the warrant, a court clerk said.

Walker was accused of three felony counts of writing bad checks. County prosecutors say he failed to make good on 10 checks totaling $1 million written to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort.

Walker's lawyer in Las Vegas, Jonathan Powell, didn't immediately respond to messages.

Prosecutor Bernie Zadrowski told the Las Vegas Sun that Walker has repaid $178,000 of the debts incurred last July to January. Walker last played for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2008. He was an All-Star with the Boston Celtics, and won an NBA championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat.

MEGAN Fox has the body most envied by women, according to a new poll.
The Transformers actress, who is praised for her classic hourglass figure, has been voted No 1 in Heat magazine’s Body Envy Survey 2009.

But despite having the most desired body, Megan apparently has a phobia of looking at herself, telling Film.com: “I usually don’t watch myself, I don’t watch playback, I don’t look at still photos, I have a phobia of it.” She added: “But I forced myself to sit down for Transformers 2.”
Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole came second in Heat’s Body Envy Survey, followed by curvy Kelly Brook in third place and Beyonce in fourth place.

Some final thoughts are coming from George Carlin.

Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, said Tuesday that the comedian's book "Last Words" will be published in November. Carlin died in June 2008 at age 71 and worked on the book for the last decade of his life. He collaborated on it with author and humorist Tony Hendra.

Hendra is best known for the memoir "Father Joe." Carlin's other books included "Brain Droppings" and "Napalm and Silly Putty."

George Carlin was known for his iconoclastic and politically subversive social commentary, and followed in the tradition of Lenny Bruce to become a leader in breaking boundaries of what you can and can't say. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is trying to quell the escalating debate over who should pick up the estimated US$1.4 million tab for police, traffic control and other services related to Michael Jackson’s memorial service.

Villaraigosa, who was vacationing in South Africa a week ago when more than 17,000 fans flocked to downtown Los Angeles to watch the public memorial, asserted Monday that the city will pay. He said he will not ask the Jackson family or AEG Live, the owner of the Staples Center where the event was held, to help the city recoup its expenses, and he lambasted a city Web site set up to request donations.

"This is a world-class city, and we provide fire and police protection, period," Villaraigosa said during his first public appearance since returning from his weeklong trip. "The idea that we would charge the family for a funeral is nonsensical."

Despite his comments, city council was expected to take up the issue Tuesday when city attorney Carmen Trutanich reports on the costs of the event. Trutanich launched an investigation into laws to force third parties to pay the municipal costs associated with unexpected events such as the Jackson memorial.

Investigators were hoping for more arrests today in the shooting deaths of a Florida Panhandle couple who had adopted a dozen children with autism, Down syndrome and other disabilities.

Authorities made three arrests over the weekend and a fourth Monday evening. Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said he hoped to make one or two arrests today. Morgan told ABC's ''Good Morning America'' that authorities have tied at least seven people to the crime but that nothing links any of the suspects to the family directly.

Morgan said day laborer Gary Lamont Sumner was arrested on a murder charge in a nearby county Monday after he was pulled over in a traffic stop. The sheriff said investigators have placed Sumner at the scene of the killings of Byrd and Melanie Billings, though he wouldn't provide details.

The couple took care to make their nine-bedroom house a safe place for their growing brood of children, wiring it with surveillance cameras in every room.

It was those cameras that captured images of the masked men who shot the wealthy couple Thursday in a break-in executed with chilling precision.

Disgraced financier Bernard Madoff arrived Tuesday at Butner prison in North Carolina to begin serving a 150-year sentence for what is believed to be the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

Madoff has a projected release date of November 14, 2139, assuming he gets early release credit for good behavior while in prison.

The Butner Federal Correctional Complex, located about 45 miles northwest of Raleigh, includes two medium-security facilities, a low-security facility and a hospital, according to the Bureau of Prisons Web site. Within the federal prison system, it is perhaps best known for its hospital facility to treat elderly or ill prisoners.

Among the well-known criminals being held at Butner are:

John Rigas, founder of Adelphia Communications, and his son, Tim, the company’s chief financial officer. They were convicted on multiple charges of securities fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and bank fraud.

Jonathan Pollard, the American convicted of spying for Israel more than two decades ago.

Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as the blind sheik, who was sentenced to life in prison in 1995 for his role in a plot to kill Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and blow up New York City landmarks, including the United Nations. He was sentenced to life in prison in 1995 and moved to Butner in 2007.

Here's a story tailor-made to burn up the Internet: A soldier is objecting to his deployment to Iraq because he believes President Obama wasn't born in the United States.

U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, a reservist who lives in Florida, is challenging his deployment based on that argument. Reports the Ledger-Enquirer out of Columbus, Georgia: "Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for his client."

Cook is arguing that because Mr. Obama isn't really the president (and thus isn't the commander in chief), the soldier "would be acting in violation of international law by engaging in military actions outside the United States under this President's command. ... simultaneously subjecting himself to possible prosecution as a war criminal by the faithful execution of these duties."

he boys are back, and as I mentioned in my Early Look review last week, everything we knew about Entourage finally seems to be evolving. Some of it's logical and some of it's forced so that the story progresses, but all of it makes sense. Entourage was due for an overhaul if you think about it, and what could be more perfect than seeing what life is like for the guys when they aren't constantly worrying about Vince's career?

You think Turtle would have ever had time to smoke a J in a hot tub with Jamie-Lynn Sigler if Scorsese hadn't called Vince? I don't think so.

That fact right there, the Scorsese call, might be the biggest forced plot device of the season. But like I said - whether you believe Vince is good enough or not to be in a Marty Scorsese flick is irrelevant because it was necessary to get where we're going.

The widow of slain former NFL quarterback Steve McNair says in court documents that her husband left no will and a judge in Nashville has ruled that she will oversee his estate. Davidson County Probate Judge Randy Kennedy granted Mechelle McNair's request to administer the estate and gave her 60 days to file an inventory of her late husband's assets. She says in court documents that she did not know her late husband's worth, but documents contend it is "of sufficient size to be administered...."

"Angela's Ashes" author Frank McCourt is gravely ill with meningitis brought on by melanoma skin cancer, his brother said Thursday. Malachy McCourt said his brother, 78, is in a New York hospice and was diagnosed with meningitis about two weeks ago. "We don't expect him to live very long," Malachy McCourt told Reuters. "He got meningitis and that screwed up the whole thing. (Until then) he was doing okay, speaking and lecturing and appearing and signing and doing all the usual stuff"...

The Washington State Patrol says actor James Caviezel suffered minor injuries when a man hurled a bicycle into the path of his motorcycle about 14 miles southeast of Leavenworth. Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ," was injured Thursday afternoon. Trooper Rich Magnussen says the actor was taken to Cascade Medical Center in this northcentral Washington city for treatment of cuts and bruises.

The 2009 Emmy Nominations just came out, and as usual there's lots of debate and controversy as TV fans talk about the newest Emmy snubs and surprises.

One Emmy choice that has everyone talking is the surprise nomination of Family Guy as one of the best comedies, an honor that hasn't been given any cartoon TV show since the Flintstones (according to what I read on the internet). Many feel that The Simpsons should have gotten this honor instead, and Family Guy is too much of a silly and derivative show, even though it is very funny.

Another choice that people are mad about it the 2009 Emmy snub of The Shield! This is a surprise because this gritty cop show is considered one of the best ever, and in its last season many were sure it would get honored, especially for it's lead actor's great performances. But this shouldn't be a surprise after the Emmy people made many snubs of The Wire, another great cop and crime show.

But the greatest Emmy snub and Surprise of all: Why did the Emmy's not give a nomination to othat talking baby from the E-Trade commercials? That guy is the greatest TV pioneer of all time.

Now that the excitement has died down, I've been scouring the complete list of 2009 Emmy nominations. Here's a few observations... Why bother with the Outstanding Mini-Series category? There were only two nominees worthy of a nomination. Exactly how many mini-series are even produced anymore? This is an outmoded TV format. Kill the category. What's going on with the writers? 30 Rock dominates the comedy category and Mad Men dominates the drama category. I call for limitations; only two episodes per series...

There have been many issues with athletes and drugs but not often this type of substance like meth, so many find this news surprising. NASCAR confirmed Wednesday that suspended driver Jeremy Mayfield tested positive for methamphetamines.

The confirmation came outside federal court after Mayfield's attorney mentioned the illegal substance several times during a 45-minute argument against the driver's indefinite suspension. Court recessed after Bill Diehl's argument and is set to reconvene Wednesday afternoon. "We will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jeremy Mayfield did violate the NASCAR substance abuse policy" NASCAR said...

Here is a powerful call from Issey Miyake for President Barack Obama to visit Hiroshima, and honor and commemorate one of the pivotal moments in American and world history. No matter what you think about America's decision to drop the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it isa crucial turning point in our history that changed so many people's lives, I think it is a very good idea for President Obama to properly take notice of it as Miyake suggests.

Miyake was only a child when the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima but you can see it still had a powerful effect on him, and his call on Obama to honor it and reaffirm that this should never have to happen again is a powerful message.

Japanese clothing designer Issey Miyake, a survivor of the World War II atomic bombing of Hiroshima, expressed hope in a New York Times article Tuesday that U.S. President Barack Obama will visit the Japanese city Aug. 6, the annual commemoration day of the bombing. Miyake said Obama's pledge to seek a nuclear-free world in an April speech in Prague awakened "something buried deeply within me, something about which I have until now been reluctant to discuss.I realized that I have, perhaps now more than ever, a personal and moral responsibility to speak out as one who survived what Mr. Obama called the 'flash of light,'" the designer said on the newspaper's Opinion page...

More crazy details keep emerging in this case, with information about a safe, and a possible murder weapon. This Florida couple, the Billings family, were famous both for their wealth and their charity and kindness, raising such a huge family of kids. So tragic that they died this way, and it seems morbid and unfortunate to keep obsessing over the details of how they were murdered.

But the story really is such an intriguing mystery, with so many layers of story and new questions emerging, you can't bllame everyone for continuing to follow it. Let's just all try to remember that it's a story about real human beings getting tragically murdered, and not turn into a saucy tabloid story or a plot for a movie. It is a real tragedy!

A great video! Really rocking version of the classic Beatles song. Honestly I've never thought Paul was the greatest live performer. But he's still a musical legend and I'd be excited just to watch him sit there balancing his checkbook. One of the greatest of all time. These surveillance camera videos may be the set of clues that solves the Billings murders. In a horrible crime story that seems to have many layers of mystery, one obvious fact is that these killers, though they evidently put a great deal of planning into this almost movie-esque home invasion and robbery that turned to murder (apparently), they failed to to carry out an essential part of such a plan: making sure they took care of the home's security cameras.

And now those camera surveillance videos may be the key that locks up their prison cells If only this technology could have stopped the hideous crime from happening!

But there seem to be no legitimate sources for the story, so until more evidence arises we have to assume this is just another of the fake death reports that became a trend after Michael Jackson died. Sad and surprising video of Neyo getting very emotional on stage, breaking into tears and ultimately leaving the stage and canceling his concert. Reports say he was ill and had a vert bad fever and sweats, but there seems to be something more going on.

Neyo has been quoted as saying he fears losing the things that matter most to him, that he's under some kind of threat of losing something precious...does anyone know what that means? Hope it works out for him.

Poor Ne-Yo was so sick he cried on stage at a gig in the UK. Ne-Yo told the audience at the beginning of his show that he felt sick. According to the BBC report "He was doing a Michael Jackson tribute and you could see that he was actually struggling to finish every musical phrase. He kept asking the audience to bear with him.". Ne-Yo did one more song and then went backstage. After he returned on stage he was crying. He told the crowd "I've never not completed a show, I've never done this before..."
