Pumkin vs. New York on Flavor of Love
Ah yes, a watershed moment in American History. How long till the first rapper says they "spit like Pumkin"? If you haven't seen it, Pumkin gives her side of the story on her myspace page.

Family Guy has kinda gotten old for me, but they got in some good ones on this Top Ten:
I'm posting this in the hopes that my friend can explain who these girls are and what in the world is going on here:
From the album Serge and Brigitte did together while they went out briefly.. didn't know this had a video:
My favorite GMF&F5 track. Krys, if you're watching, this one's for you:
What if microsoft redesigned the ipod packaging?
Anybody know what show this is?
Doing "Soul Man", for unidentified show with very white audience.
James doing a Japanese commercial for miso soup:
the Y O U N G Beastie Boys.. reminds me of the all kids I went to prep school with..
I totally forgot about this one:
Pretty cool but, uhh, did Cat Power ever hear the song before that night?
All this stuff is funk to me.. the distance between this and, say, a meters track is only a few degrees, to my ears..
I'm glad to hear a song that sounds like a Mobb Deep song instead of a 50 Cent or G Unit song. (Disregarding the lyrical content, as I always must for a Mobb Deep song (or a G Unit song)).
But this video is just tiresome. Come on, people. Enough already with the disembodied stripper asses. This looks like one of those homemade BET Uncut joints by some 50 year old dude laundering his number-running money.
LL was right. But you knew that.
Usually love Triumph but I thought he was a little off-key with some of this one..
BTW wikipedia is mad helpful sometimes, I wasn't clear on all this before (assuming it's accurate):
Krumping (not Krunk-ing) is often confused with Clowning, the two are related by form and origin, and vaguely by style, but differences are visible. They share the same basic speed, and a similar movement pattern (which is the rapid rhythmic bobbling and jerking of the body, as well as the intermittent flex of the spine and out pressed chest, which may be called "the krump" or a "bobble bounce").Krumping, however, is a more sinister and aggressive dance form, and is intended as an expression of anger, or a release of reservoired/"pent-up" emotion, through violent, exaggerated, and dramatic moves. High variation, individuality, and movement around the foundation of the krump or the bobble bounce is the focus of the art. It must be said that the current focal point of the dance (2006) and its differentiation from Clowning is becoming centralized around the elimination of the use of sexual or erotic movement (such as twerking, booty popping, freaking, snaking and winding), especially in the case of males. In particular the terminology used is popping cakes (cakes being the buttocks). This is currently conscidered "the" taboo when Krumping. It may also be heard as poppin bakes, this difference is due to the gang culture pervasive in california. In a CRIP hood b words (words beginning with or often containing the letter b) may not be said or must be altered, and in a BLOOD hood c words are taboo. So cakes becomes Bakes, and boulevard C-comes Coulevard (pronounced Soulevard).
The belief that Krump dancers engage in face-painting is also a grave misconception. This is a Clown practice and as Clowning and Krumping have been mixed and misrepresented in their introduction to the public through music videos of artists such as Missy Elliott it has been associated with Krump by default, but it is a matter of choice and is practiced only occasionally by a small percentage of the Krump community. In fact the relation between the two may be a result of the movie RIZE, which documented the founders and other initial practitioners of krump in their earlier days. This was during the infancy of Krump as an art form separate from Clowning, and thus the footage was from a time when the krump kings themselves were actually evolving from clowners into krumpers as we now know them, and their modified use of face paint served as a visual indication of this. It should be noted that the style and the cultural significance of this painting primarily as it was used within the Krumping movement (especially the early period) and the subsequent addoption of that (early Krump) specific design style within Clowning itself, has moved beyond the mere circus Clown image to symbolize ceremonial African war or dance paint. This could signify the development of a third school, a school of a darker or more aggressive nature within Clowning, but still remaining Clown oriented. In Clowning itself, there are older Clown'ers who have Krump-similar styles but are still very Clown associated and loyal to that school.
Including the one where they teach Alyson Hannigan how to Krump. Hmm I'm not sure what I think about these actually.. there's a lot going on here.
Filmed in the UK:
The Simpsons brought their own special brand of havoc to Bromley last week - as producers filmed a new 'human' opening sequence for the hit American TV comedy. The spectacular scenes were shot throughout the day last Friday (30) in Lansdowne Avenue, Orpington, because one of the properties looked similar to the family's home in make-believe Springfield.
Producers wanted to film an entirely different version of the opening credits scene, which is always slightly altered every episode, and called up a host of look-alikes for the job.
Natalie Portman's rap video on SNL. Funny stuff once again, although I think the joke is about used up now. I hope they don't keep back going to the well after this one..
Natalie Portman's SNL Rap Video Chris Parnell is interviewing Natalie Portman and her response is an extremely vulgar rap video. But it was hilarious. She was so angry: "I'll kill your dog." "I'll sh*t on your face." It kept going too, other things I won't type out. I'm sure this will be posted online by the end of the day. (tv squad description)In keeping with the recent young rappers theme:
The Muppets made many appearances on Ed Sullivan before they started their own show, and most them are out on DVDs now.. this is one of the few that hasn't been reissued:
I'll keep adding the 2006 Oscars video clips as they appear.. I'd advise you to download them before they disappear.
Three Six Mafia Performance and Acceptance Speech
The Opening Segment
What the heck was gong on here, Joan?
The classic interview where Prince wears a scarf over his face the whole time and refuses to speak, whispering his answers into Mayte's ear.. hilariosity:
Sidenote: I really miss Mayte.. *sigh*
BE WARNED: This is really really really gross. Hard as is it to believe though, he actually wasn't injured too badly, and may play as soon as next week.
What y'all know about 1988 Video Music Box??
Kelis's new joint, Bossy, featuring Too Short and a poodle:
"What do you get when you mix fearless comedic genius with the latest box-office blockbusters? You guessed it. On April 14th, the Scary Movie gang is back with the most hilarious and irreverent installment yet! Scary Movie 4 is set to invade a theatre near you with outrageous send-ups of "War of the Worlds," "The Grudge," "The Village," "Saw" and "Saw II," "Million Dollar Baby" and much more. Legendary comedy director David Zucker ("Airplane!," the "Naked Gun" franchise, "Scary Movie 3," and "Ruthless People") and producer Bob Weiss reunite to take aim at some of the best fright films, the latest box office hits, music, current events, pop culture, and your favorite celebrities. Anna Faris and Regina Hall are back as the loveable, dim-witted Cindy Campbell and her self-serving, sex-crazed pal, Brenda, respectively - joined this time around by Craig Bierko ("Cinderella Man"), as the cute-but-utterly clueless Tom Ryan. Together, they battle to save the world from a ruthless alien invasion. And, in true Scary Movie tradition, the outrageous celebrity cameos are non-stop. Those featured include: Carmen Electra, Shaquille O'Neal, Dr. Phil, Bill Pullman, Chris Elliott, Molly Shannon, Michael Madsen, rappers Chingy and Lil' John, Leslie Nielsen returning as our fearless Commander in Chief, plus many, many more surprises. In Scary Movie 4, nothing - and we mean NOTHING - is off limits! "
Aww, err, isn't that, uhh, cute..?
I heard this Namie Amuro is the bomb over in Japan, son..
No introduction necessary:
"tried to tell them that I didn't want to sing, but I'd gladly write a song instead..."
This was the 10th anniversary of the song, and Prince joined in the celebration with a hearty round of lollipop-sucking.
Rumor has it Tom Cruise is pulling strings to make this episode disappear forever, so watch it while you can.
As noted below, Tom Cruise already prevented the show from airing in the UK.. and now he's allegedly stopping it from rerunning here:
Tom Cruise kills South Park episode (Uk Register)UK TV viewers will not get to see an episode of South Park which shows Nicole Kidman and fellow Scientologist John Travolta attempting to coax a fictional Tom Cruise character out of a closet, with Kidman saying: "Don't you think this has gone on long enough? It's time for you to come out of the closet. You're not fooling anyone."
Naturally, the robustly heterosexual Top Gun star took exception to this when Trapped in the Closet aired in the US. The episode also showed Stan - believed by the Cruise character to be the reincarnation of Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard - having a pop at Cruise's acting abilities, and Cruise reportedly waved the legal big stick at Paramount and threatened to sue if the offending programme was ever shown again.
An insider said: "Tom is famously very litigious and will go to great lengths to protect his reputation. Tom was said not to like the episode and Paramount just didn't dare risk showing it again. It's a shame that UK audiences will never see it because it's very funny."
Not exactly a strong dunk, but you gotta start somewhere:
LO vs. the Vagabonds Crew. More footage from this battle is at http://www.style2ouf.com/engli sh/videos/index.php
Cuh-lassic... "This was the first, and most known, jheri curl commercial ever made (outside of the fictional "Soul Glo" commercial taken from 1988's "Coming To America"). Features Ola Ray, who was the female lead in Michael Jackson's "Thriller" three years later. "
This isn't as wild as I was told to expect, actually.. just cuz you have a (very very) hearty laugh doesn't make you crazy!
Our belated tribute to Don Knotts.. one episode also co-stars the Atari 2600. This first one is Don's debut as Mr. Furley.
Great footage from VH1 of ODB working with Pharrell and Chad
Some nasty dunks from future all-star Dwight Howard:
Much as I didn't want to believe it, looks like this is a actual news report from in WPMI, the NBC affiliate in Mobile:
Here's the season premiere of South Park, and as we all expected the boys are aiming right at this week's controversy over Isaac Hayes leaving the show and quitting his role as the Chef. Catch it while you can, this one is likely to disappear.
It's not up on youtube yet, but here's the bittorrent download.
Getting interviewed by the man himself Donnie Simpson:
what's that spell?
DJ Muro featuring the Japanese emcees Uzi, Deli, Q, Bigzam Tokona-X and Gore Tex. Guess this is a japanese "Symphony"?
One of the coolest things about youtube is how it's been letting me get back into the whole MMA (mixed martial arts) scene: UFC, Japan's Pride Fighting, etc.. This stuff still hasn't really crossed over into the American mainstream, over here I guess it's still seen as some illicit fringe activity, as if it could possibly be sleazier than the boxing world.. but in Japan this stuff is huge, and the top fighters are superstars.. sooner or later I'd think it's gotta cross over here too.
Anyway, one of my favorite discoveries is this guy Genki Sudo, a top name in the smaller weight classes who's got to have the illest ring entrances in the history of sports.. here's his latest one, before his fight with Ole Laursen:
For the record, he did go on to win the fight.
Some guerrilla improv in Aspen Colorado..
"Some parts of the world lack Indians. Others lack people from Pakistan. Aspen, CO happens to lack Black people. The person in this video capitalizes on this fact for an unforgettable short video. "

Was homeboy actually out there crying before the game ended, or is that just a grimace?
Meanwhile this blog says the biggest chokers were CBS:
A wild and wonderful finish to Thursday night’s UCLA-Gonzaga game saw CBS far from its top form. After coming back from a late deficit, UCLA made two consecutive steals, with a basket sandwiched in between, to all but ice the contest. After the second steal, CBS play-by-play man Gus Johnson was so wrapped in the stellar turnaround that he was reduced to just shouting “What a Game, What a Game!” at the top of his lungs. Johnson’s hysteria had the wife and I literally laughing out loud at how ridiculous he sounded.
Then, with just a few seconds left and UCLA about to inbound the ball, CBS made the major blunder of going to a replay and missing the live play, which could have been the end of the game. They dumped out quickly, but it was too late, they still missed Gonzaga fouling UCLA with 1.9 seconds left.
